STUDENT NOMINATION
You can apply to the
University of Jyväskylä (JyU) as an exchange student for one or
two semesters in case your home university is a partner university
of JyU. You should first apply through your home university to be
nominated to Erasmus, Nordplus/Nordlys, ISEP, FIRST,
North-South-South or bilateral exchange.
After
your nomination, the IR office staff at Jyväskylän will send you
an email with information about applying to university.

ACCOMODATIONS
1.
Apply for
accommodation no later than

At other times, the
application for accommodation should be submitted at least two
months prior to your arrival.

(paper application which should be printed out and delivered to
the accommodation office)

ISEP students:
accommodation will be reserved for ISEP students by the
University

If the accommodation
office is able to place you in a student apartment, a housing
offer will be sent to you by e-mail approximately 1-2 months
before the accommodation is needed.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
The
minimum requirement for students wishing to study at the
University of Jyvaskyla as exchange students is level B1, but the
applicants should preferably be B2 (or higher) level users of the
English language in order to be able to follow university lectures
in English, participate in seminar discussions and understand
written material in their field. In addition, most courses require
writing essays and research papers in English. These requirements
do not apply to students whose Finnish skills are good enough to
carry out their studies in Finnish.
